SINGAPORE, 04 March 2014 – Sony has introduced a new range of digital voice recorders with features that will make audio recording more convenient, and help ensure that you never miss that crucial sound bite.

With functions such as Playback Speed Control that allows you to adjust the playback speed in a range from 0.50 times to 2.00 times without any change in pitch, the three new digital voice recorder models make audio recording all the more convenient and versatile. Whether you’re using it for personal note taking, or in a work or classroom setting, these devices are there to help you keep a record of your thoughts, or any important information you need.

ICD-PX440: Audio Recording with USB Direct Connection for Business Professionals
The ICD-PX440 comes in a compact design for easy transportation for business professionals. It has a stereo built-in microphone for better recording, and transferring of files is made all the more convenient with a direct USB port connection to a PC.
Furthermore, there is no need to worry about the device dying on you halfway through your recording, as the recorder comes with a long battery life of 96 hours1. The ICD-PX440 also allows for media card storage with Memory Stick Micro or with a microSD card slot.

In addition to its user-friendly front cross button layout and Playback Speed Control function, it also comes with A-B Repeat, Track Mark and Intelligent Noise Cut features. These will allow you to repeat select phrases, add bookmarks to segments of your audio files for easy tracking, and reduce background noise during playback so you can hear all your recordings in crystal clear sound.

ICD-PX240: Easy PC Connectivity with Improved Recording Capacities and Features
Featuring an improved capacity of 4GB as compared to the preceding ICD-PX232 model’s 2GB capacity, the ICD-PX240 also has a faster start up time, a longer battery life of 32 hours[1]. The recorder, which can be easily connected to PCs via a USB cable, comes with the Playback Speed Control function, and is handy for basic recording for all business professionals, students and even budding singers.

ICD-BX140: Hassle-free Voice Recording with Quality Sound
The ICD-BX140 has a 4GB memory capacity, with an improved start-up time and a battery life of 45 hours1. It is a user-friendly device capable of reliable audio recording at a good value.

The ICD-PX440 will be available at all Sony stores and authorised outlets from May 2014, while the ICD-PX240 and ICD-BX140 will be available from March 2014.
