Singapore, – Newstead Technologies, a major consumer electronics retailer in Singapore, today announced the launch of the Newstead Takes You Places campaign to celebrate its 16th anniversary in Singapore. From today to , Newstead Technologies has lined up a series of exciting promotions and giveaways worth more than $50,000 to celebrate this momentous occasion with its customers. The month-long campaign will culminate with a grand lucky draw on where there are 160 prizes to be won and the top three winners will walk away with travel packages to Australia, Japan and Hong Kong.
Since its inception in 1998 and the opening of its first store at Funan DigitaLife Mall in 1999, Newstead Technologies has expanded its footprints across the island with more than 50 stores today. Over the last 16 years, Newstead Technologies continue to innovate and develop creative retail concepts to meet the changing needs of consumers. Its concept stores include Apple Premium Reseller Nubox, consumer centric multi-brand IT retail chain Digital Style and tech@vogue Gallery, its specialty chain focusing on accessories and connectivity solutions for mobile devices. As part of its expansion plans, Newstead Technologies acquired PowerPRO, an emerging player in the mechanical and electrical works for the local and regional construction industry in 2013. Newstead Technologies was also selected in 2013 by Panasonic Toughbook as the sole distributor of its business-ruggedized laptops in the ASEAN region.
Newstead Technologies continues to be recognised for its achievements in the industry and has attained various awards over the years, including Enterprise 50, Singapore Prestige Brand Award, Top 12 Promising SME 500 Award, Business Superbrands and Consumer Superbrands, Newstead Technologies is also active in fund raising activities to contribute to the community. Through its laptop charity auction Bid-to-Give in 2011 and 2013, Newstead Technologies raised a total of $71,963 in aid of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. In 2012, the company donated $58,730 from its Tech Shopping for a Cause campaign to Mainly I Love Kids to benefit disadvantaged children and youths.
