【Singapore, 】OPPO, the evolving global smartphone brand, has joined forces with America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) Cycle 22, to bring a range of stylish devices to the popular reality TV show. To celebrate this partnership, OPPO and ANTM hosted a star-studded premiere party in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 28th, which marked the beginning of an exciting collaboration for the upcoming cycle, set to air in August.
As the first smartphone brand to partner with ANTM, OPPO will be featured in Cycle 22 of the hit TV show, further revolutionizing the exciting intersection of fashion and technology.
“The OPPO and ANTM partnership naturally came together as both smartphone design and fashion are equally devoted to artistic processes” says Sky Li, OPPO’s Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business. “The collaboration represents how OPPO is transforming superior technology and unique design to make the fashion industry more dynamic than ever. ANTM producers, judges and photographers were among those who took to the OPPO ‘green carpet’ at the premiere, while an array of models from Cycle 22 enjoyed taking ”selfies” at the OPPO photo booth. U.S. and International guests from the fashion and tech industry were in awe of the design and photo-taking capabilities of the OPPO R7 and R7 Plus smartphones, the latest handsets from the global technology brand, snapping high-resolution photos and capturing all the glamor and style necessary for a true fashion photo shoot.
OPPO R7 and R7 Plus embody “style in a flash” and are a natural fit for fashion professionals who desire high-quality smartphone cameras for their on-the-go lifestyles. With an elegant all-metallic unibody, Ultra-HD image quality as high as 50MP, and a host of embedded camera plug-ins powered by the Pure Image 2.0+ platform, the sleek smartphones are unmatched in both aesthetics and technical features.
OPPO technologies set to electrify ANTM Cycle 22
On the upcoming season of ANTM, the OPPO N3 and R5 smartphones will be used throughout the show including a challenge where photographer Massimo Campana uses ‘Expert Mode’ to create professional-looking headshots. The models will also use OPPO camera features such as ‘Double Exposure’, ‘Beautify’ and ‘Panorama’ to complete various ‘selfie’ challenges and the top two contestants will travel to Southeast Asia as OPPO brand ambassadors. In addition, viewers will experience how the first hearing-impaired contestant of the show’s 22 cycles utilizes a special app to communicate on the show.
“OPPO’s smartphone technology is very impressive and we were able to use the phone in many more ways than anticipated,” said Ken Mok, Executive Producer of America’s Next Top Model. “The OPPO phone quickly became an integral part of this cycle - not only helping the models with their challenges but also in various aspects of communication.”
The partnership between OPPO and ANTM demonstrates technology’s capability to ignite an already dynamic industry, giving everyone the opportunity to be both model and photographer. It is also a further demonstration of OPPO’s international expansion efforts as well as the creative co-branding campaigns it is globally spearheading.
“OPPO’s design philosophy, ‘the art of technology’, is all about crafting devices that are as beautiful as they are powerful,” adds Li. “As an evolving smartphone brand, OPPO is dedicated to achieving breakthroughs in design and technology that reach across industries and markets.”
