Olympus announces the development of flagship OM-D E-M1 Mark II and launches PEN E-PL8 and three new lenses

In conjunction with Photokina which is happening right now in Cologne, Germany, Olympus is proud to present a slew of new and exciting launches for both Singapore and international markets.

Development of the
OM-D E-M1 Mark II

To start it off, Olympus has recently announced the development of the flagship OM-D E-M1 Mark II. Advancing from the highly successful OM-D E-M1 flagship series which was launched in 2013, the upcoming successor sees a boost of technological advancements which enables it to surpass DSLRs while bringing portability and image quality into the next dimension. Some of these features include; a maximum of 18 fps sequential shooting performance in AF/AE tracking, advanced DUAL FAST AF with 121-point all cross-type sensor and a 20.4 Megapixel Live MOS sensor with new High-speed TruePic VIII image processor.


Olympus selfie-ready camera series return with the new PEN E-PL8 in a sleek new look and enhanced Touch Selfie Mode. The latest addition to the PEN series, sees the camera being redesigned in 3 new classic colours; white, black, and brown. The rounded edges and compact body adds to its soft and modern outlook, making it the perfect style essential. A flip down Selfie screen and enhanced Touch Selfies mode is bound to provide an endless journey of fun photographic expressions!

M.Zuiko 12-100mm F4 IS PRO

The new M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO is the first high-magnification zoom lens with powerful image stabilization in the M.Zuiko PRO category.
This compact, lightweight, high-performance, high-magnification professional zoom lens features a dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof (-10°) construction along with an image stabilization mechanism. When combined with a compatible camera body, the in-body 5-axis sync IS is enhanced, enabling the world's most powerful 6.5 shutter speed steps of compensation performance, expanding the range of hand-held shooting scenes.

M.Zuiko 25 mm F1.2 PRO

The new M.Zuiko Digital ED 25mm F1.2 PRO (35mm equivalent: 50mm) is a large-diameter single-focal-length lens, which conforms to the Micro Four Thirds System standard. Its dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof construction makes it perfect for shooting in any weather environment.
This lens achieves superb resolution performance from the widest aperture setting of f1.2, by lavishly using 19 lenses including 8 special lenses in an effective arrangement. The latest optical technologies is able to capture beautiful, natural defocusing effects and accurate focusing on faces or eyes for better portrait photography.

M.Zuiko 30mm F3.5 Macro

The new M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm F3.5 premium macro lens, which conforms to the Micro Four Thirds System standard, features a maximum image magnification of 2.5x (35mm equivalent) making it the highest in its class. The high powered magnification allows users the ability to approach subjects up to 1.4cm away from the end of the lens for a whole new world of macro shooting expression. Perfect for advanced amateurs to entry-level photographers, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm F3.5 premium macro is able provide sharpness and beautiful defocusing effects.


The new high-intensity flash also features a maximum guide number of 58 with the fastest sequential shooting tracking speed in its class at 10 fps. The Micro Four Thirds System standard compliant flash features a dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof (-10°C) performance which is specially designed for shooting in challenging environments. The compact and lightweight structure also ensures excellent portability, ideal for photographers who are constantly on the move.

I do not think it is an attractive profession for me, maybe it's someone like it. I prefer to keep the project activities. I like to do projects for Android. Often working with to programmers. Who are interested I can recommend a good team software development. They write quality code. They work on the Agile methodology. It is the key to success all IT companies.
