NEC introduces new portable projector MC Series
ideal for classrooms and mid-sized meeting rooms

Singapore, 12 October 2016 – NEC Asia Pacific has launched a series of high-performance, cost effective projectors that are compact, light-weight, easy to setup and equipped with advanced multimedia features. The new MC Series provide a wide range of choices among NEC’s standard and network projectors and offer options for users who are cost-conscious but demand high functionality.

Together with clear pictures and full connectivity, the MC Series of projectors are ideal for use in classroom and mid-sized meeting room environments, where budget and performance are equally important. While achieving a low cost, the MC Series provides a number of benefits that offer additional performance to schools and offices, including auto power ON/OFF and quick start features that enable projection to start in just 6 seconds. Moreover, automatic keystone correction will adjust poorly balanced images when the projector is positioned non-perpendicularly to the screen.

Advanced wireless connectivity is offered through an integrated Simple Access Point function, which enables multiple devices to connect to the projector without the need for an additional router. This allows users to send content and audio wirelessly from their notebook, tablet or smartphone using NEC’s free Image Express Utility Lite (Windows and MAC) or Wireless Image Utility (iOS and Android). The new MC Series adds a Multi-screen Projection function to allow the sharing of screens from multiple devices on various split-screen displays. Content from up to 16 network connected devices can be projected on the same screen.

A variety of input terminals, including dual HDMI and USB, provide flexibility and ensure the value of investments made by businesses and schools. For example, USB-displays allow users to deliver presentations and send images by connecting USB cables, without using traditional VGA cable. Additionally, by connecting a microphone directly to a projector via the microphone jack for a high-power 16W speaker, users no longer have to rely on an external amplifier.

Furthermore, innovative ECO functions reduce power consumption while ensuring optimal image performance and lamp life that is extended to 10,000 hours.
The MC Series is available within a wide range of brightness, from 3000 to 4200 ANSI lumens. Models include the MC301X (3000lm, XGA), MC331X (3300lm, XGA), MC331W (3300lm, WXGA), MC371X (3700lm, XGA) and MC421X (4200lm XGA).
