Lenovo strengthens commitment to gaming with League of Champions and ESL One Genting partnership

Singapore – 14th December 2016: Global technology leader Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) continues to excite the gaming industry with today’s announcement of a collaboration with Intel for a championship tournament and a strategic partnership with Microsoft, coming hot off the heels of its latest additions to the Y-gaming series, the Lenovo IdeaCentre Y710 Cube, IdeaPad Y910 and the Y27g Curved Gaming Monitor.

Lenovo continues to bring the next level in gaming through strategic partnerships, both locally and regionally. Regionally, Lenovo is partnering with Garena and Intel to bring “League of Champions”, a test of skills and wits to fans and players of League of Legends, a game known for having the world’s most active gaming competitive scene.

There is a great level of interest in Singapore’s gaming scene, where the country is part of the top 30 gaming countries in the world. The gaming field has made its mark in Singapore, and Lenovo has the latest devices and strategic partnerships to help players level up even faster.

By collaborating with Intel, Lenovo is bringing ‘League of Champions’ to elevate the professional gaming experience through League of Legends. Gamers around Asia are encouraged to participate and play against the best in the region to compete for the finals in Bangkok on 13-15 January 2017.

With this partnership, Lenovo will be hosting two competitions to bring fans of Dota 2 to the ESL One Genting Tournament. Two lucky winners will receive a Lenovo Gaming mouse and a Gaming headset, and stand a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the ESL One Genting finals when they join the online ESL One Genting Facebook contest. Fans can expect to see popular gaming groups such as Wings Gaming, Virtus Pro and F.natic compete to win the grand prize at the tournament.

The ESL One Genting Tournament will be taking place from Friday, 6 January to Sunday, 8 January 2017 at the Arena of Stars, Resort World, Genting, Malaysia.
