Samsung Electronics Singapore announced a collaboration with National Gallery Singapore (the Gallery) on the sponsorship of 50 Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0” Wi-Fi® tablets which are now available for use at the Gallery to elevate visitors’ art experience. Worth $498 each, the tablets will be pre-installed with National Gallery Singapore’s Gallery Explorer app, the Gallery’s first-of-its-kind interactive app that offers an in-depth and dynamic indoor navigation experience for visitors.

Visitors may loan the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0” Wi-Fi® for free at National Gallery Singapore’s Visitor Services Centre located at Basement 1. With Samsung’s sponsorship of the tablets, visitors at the Gallery can explore the largest public collection of modern Singapore and Southeast Asian art like never before using the Gallery Explorer app. Enhanced with engaging features, the Gallery Explorer app serves as the visitors’ personal tour guide with audio tours, wayfinding capabilities and more.

Singapore – 31 May, 2017 Samsung Electronics Singapore announced a collaboration with National Gallery Singapore (the Gallery) on the sponsorship of 50 Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0” Wi-Fi® tablets which are now available for use at the Gallery to elevate visitors’ art experience. Worth $498 each, the tablets will be pre-installed with National Gallery Singapore’s Gallery Explorer app, the Gallery’s first-of-its-kind interactive app that offers an in-depth and dynamic indoor navigation experience for visitors.

While exploring the Gallery with the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0” Wi-Fi®, visitors can also listen to audio commentary about the artwork on the tablet, and take advantage of their tablet companion’s stunning Super AMOLED display to view sneak previews of artwork on the app in rich and precise details. The tablet is also the slimmest and lightest in Samsung’s tablet line, and will provide Gallery visitors with greater mobility while on their Gallery journey.

The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Wi-Fi® at the Gallery features Samsung Knox Customisation, a service offering that transforms the tablets into purpose-built devices and enables the Gallery to customise the Gallery Explorer app for optimum content deployment. Visitors can enjoy a seamless experience without distraction nor disruption, and not have to worry about exiting the Gallery explorer app by accident while touring the Gallery.
