It's Official, Huawei Mate 10 Is Out!

Huawei just launched their very own Huawei Mate 10, the very first smartphone with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that is in their latest chipset - the Kirin 970. If you have followed us on Facebook or Instagram, you would have seen our live coverage of the launch of Huawei's Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.

Huawei started off with their brand-new FullView display which provides a near bezel-less display, placing them into the exclusive pool of sleek flagships. Huawei decided to provide choices for the consumer in terms of display types. From the Mate 10's LCD 2K (2560*1440) to the Mate 10 Pro's OLED FHD+ (2160*1080) that is HDR ready, Huawei has further blurred the lines between their products. Some may prefer a higher display resolution, while others would want deeper blacks with a OLED display. One thing is for sure is that the either devices are legitimately a good choice either way.

It is pretty common these days that flagship smartphones do not contain huge batteries, as they would sacrifice functionality over aesthetics and premium feel. Not for the Mate 10, as the battery has a whooping 4000mAh capacity.

Fingerprint Sensor

Their choices in fingerprint sensor's location is also well made and very different between the two devices. The Mate 10 sensor is located at the home button while the Mate 10 Pro's is located below the rear camera. While some shots were fired to Samsung, with their fingerprint sensor being placed at an inconvenient position, the decision to place the fingerprint sensors are actually decent.

Huawei Mate series has finally gotten their flagships protection from water and dust! This is all done while making the Mate 10 slimmer and sexier, with their Signature Stripe being the icing to the cake.

The Mate 10 also comes with a several colors, a few of which only made it to Singapore.
Mate 10 - Black, Mocha Brown
Mate 10 Pro - Midnight Blue, Mocha Brown

Huawei also teamed up with Porsche to produce their very own Mate 10 - Porsche Design edition.

Kirin 970 + Neural Processing Unit

Not forgetting their processor, that is also aided by their NPU, more speed and optimizations can be made to their Mate 10 phones. Included in their chipset also has the capabilities of a Cat.18 device, allowing for up to 1.28Gbps of data to be transferred to and fro your devices. Say goodbye to buffering!

AI + Camera

When it comes to just the camera's hardware, the large f/1.6 aperture and with a ISP for each lens, pictures would appear sharper and clearer even under low-light conditions.

AI also plays a huge role in the phone's camera, not only in post-processing. The Mate 10 will supposedly be able to identify the type of object that the camera 'sees', and select the best mode that will produce a better image. This can mean increasing the sharpness for pets, or increase the saturation and color for food to make the dish look more appealing. The possibility is endless!

Accessories and more

Huawei also released a few accessories for their consumers which includes a power bank that actually provides a high enough voltage/watt for phones to SuperCharge!
