TAIPEI’S FIRST EVER EDUTECH EXHIBITION: A STEPPING STONE FOR SMARTER CITIES


TAIPEI – Held in conjunction with Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE), FutureE2D is Taipei’s first ever Education Technology Exhibition. It is held at Nangang Exhibition Centre from the 27th to 30th March. Organized by the Digital Education Institute (DEI) from the Institute for Information Industry (III), the exhibition will discuss about the involvement of technology, smart city landscapes and opportunities that arise as the world advances towards the future of education.



 “By placing education in the centre of technology advancements, we hope to build an inclusive smart city where everyone will have fair access to educational resources. The Department of Education of Taipei City Government will bring the concept of a smart classroom and smart teaching to life at FutureE2D by simulating the use of the “Cool Coin Learning Management System” (CCLMS), a highly interactive learning management platform that gamifies learning with the use of a digital ‘E Coin’. III will also show their latest educational games that are developed based on Virtual Reality technologies.

In addition, FutureE2D will showcase unlimited possibilities of EduTech solutions that span across education stages and types such as Early Childhood Learning, Skills Training, Higher Advanced Learning, Specialized Learning, Continuing Learning and Special Education Learning.

These solutions will tackle 10 different themes of issues posed by III.


  • Building Smart Campuses – How can cities build smart campuses to lead the world in the future of education?
  • Developing Interactive Learning Materials – How can technology and artificial intelligence transform education to boost learning efficiency?
  • Closing the Gap between Education in Urban and Rural areas – How can ICT tools be implemented for remote learning?
  • Preparing Educators of the Future – How can cities nurture a new generation of educators that are well-versed in different ICT Tools?
  • Special Education Possibilities – How can technology be used to empower the potential of People?
  • Lifelong Learning – How can technology be used to engage senior citizens to learn?
  • Reduce Unemployment – What kinds of jobs will the future of education create?
  • Higher Quality of Life for Youths – How will the future of education change the youths in the new era and generate more value and income for them?
  • Promoting Entrepreneurship amongst Youths – How can technology create a collaborative space to spur entrepreneurship in the youth community?
  • Social Innovation – With the future of education, how can organizations recreate value in defining or revising their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts
