Introduction
PROLiNK has just launched their newest gaming peripherals for the Singapore market. They have 2 new gaming mice for users of different requirements, namely Hesperus and Xanthinus. There will also be a new illuminated gaming keyboard in the near future.
Today, we take a look at the flagship gaming mice that PROLiNK has got to offer - Hesperus.
PROLiNK has marketed their gaming mice to personify the features of a bat. Will the mice live up to the different characteristics as claimed by PROLiNK? 
The Hesperus's packaging is surprising similar to one of their competitor's.

The core features of the mouse is all stated on the packaging.
Within the package contains the Hesperus mouse itself, 6 x 5.8gram weights, quick install guide, an additional set of Teflon mouse feet and driver installation CD. Miku not included.Hesperus has a gold plated USB connector for reduced digital signal latency to the IO controller. Although it may not matter that much in terms of responsiveness, plating the USB connector gold definitely increases the durability of the mouse and prevents the connectors from getting rust. The 1.8m cable is also braided to it from being tangles and provide extra flexibility.

The Hesperus has a unique 4D Scroll Wheel which allows scrolling to be done not only vertically but also horizontally. Macros can even be programmed to the side scrolls when needed.

Among the other gaming mice that are in the market right now, Hesperus excels as one of the highest dpi gaming mice in its price range, boasting at 8200dpi thanks to the high performance Avago ADNS-9800 Gaming Grade Laser implemented in it. Other than the high DPI, the ADNS-9800 also includes an ultrafast 1000Hz polling which gives it a 1ms response rate. Moreover, frame rate can go up to 12000fps, giving the mouse its highly sensitive properties. Tracking speed is at 150ips / 30G and minimum Lift Off Distance of 1.5mm are yet specifications which only high end gaming mice will reach.
What stands out from Hesperus to its brother the Xanthinus is the option to add additional weights. 6 slots are neatly arranged at the bottom of the mouse to slot in the 5.8 grams of weight included along with the mouse, tallying up from the usual 131 grams to a much heavier weight of around 165 grams.

As stated above, 5 Profiles can be set with the program provided within the drivers installation CD. These profiles are color coded and can be easily changed with the button found on Hesperus.
DPI settings can also changed of up to 8200DPI, which is stored in 4 different profiles.
Macros can be recorded and then set to profiles.
Customization
To differentiate itself from the current gaming peripherals market, PROLiNK provides a full-on customization service to the mouse, with a 4 month promotion tacked on it until 31st July 2013. From simple things like engraving names and symbols, to embedding a custom design onto the outer casing, the variation of designs are endless. Conclusion
The PROLiNK peripherals, along with Hesperus, will be on sale starting mid-April. With a price-tag of SGD$109 , excluding the customization costs, Hesperus provides specifications that rivals most gaming mice in the market, together with the option of personal customization, it would prove to be a promising contender in the market of gaming mice.
