As smartphone penetration rate reaches an all time high in Singapore with almost every single person in the population having a smartphone, it also makes sense to have a good pair of earphones coupled with built in microphone capabilities to enjoy an overall better audio experience on your device. Nakamichi has recently launched three new in-ear noise cancelling earphones to target smartphone users of different audio needs, providing products which stands out in particular areas. We've tried out the three new headphones, namely the MV7 Mic, K109 Mic and K119 Mic and here is how we feel of these sub SGD100 earphones.
It is created with a Dynamic 10mm Audio driver which is placed in a solid alloy metallic housing, away from external interference and to prevent noise. The MV7 also includes a tangle-free flat cable and line-control with built-in microphone.
We felt that this set of earphones did perform to the expectations of us and as advertised. We also think that the price that you pay for the MV7 is also justified, however, don't expect audiophile grade quality from a sub 100SGD earphone. It's definitely a good buy bass lovers and for most of us from the review teams are just mainstream users who aren't really particular with extreme audio quality, we did fall in love with this set of earphone.
However, we felt that the K109 could be of a better build quality. We preferred the tangle free flat cable than the conventional cable that it used. As for audio quality, it was the one to choose if you're someone who is sitting on the fence as it is an all rounder, providing an adequate amount of bass and treble that is suitable for a first upgrade to a new earphones.
Additionally, K119 comes in a higher build quality as compared to K109 as it uses a flat tangle free wire to connect your audio devices to your earphones.
Nakamichi MV7 - Dynamic Bass
Nakamichi MV7 is suitable for bass lovers who wants to get that extra "thum" and bassy impact from their earphones. The MV7 expresses it's niche with exception dynamic bass that is suitable for a range of genre of songs, especially at rap, reggae, blues, rock, and pop.

Nakamichi K109 - Crystal Clear Sound
Being the most affordable earphones of the three, Nakamichi K109 is targetted for those who wants to have a set of decent earphones with mic, but do not want to spend too much money. Throughout the test, we think that the K109 best reproduced vocals from songs and which made the songs sounding extremely natural.
However, we felt that the K109 could be of a better build quality. We preferred the tangle free flat cable than the conventional cable that it used. As for audio quality, it was the one to choose if you're someone who is sitting on the fence as it is an all rounder, providing an adequate amount of bass and treble that is suitable for a first upgrade to a new earphones.
Nakamichi K119 - High Clarity
The K119 produced very similar sounds as compared to the K109, but it has a stronger bass. Of course, it cannot be compared to the amount of bass that the MV7 produces, but we think that the K119 should be the choice for most users who would like to have some bass but also would not like to compromise clarity in music.
Additionally, K119 comes in a higher build quality as compared to K109 as it uses a flat tangle free wire to connect your audio devices to your earphones.
