Singapore (18 July, 2014) —ASUS today announced the availability of the red and white Transformer Book T100, a 10.1-inch ultraportable laptop with Intel® Atom™ ‘Bay-Trail’ quad-core processor and a detachable HD 1,366 x 768 display that can be used as a standalone Windows 8.1 tablet. Both the white and red Transformer Book T100 will be retailing at S$599 from tomorrow onwards. The white Transformer Book T100 will be available at all ASUS authorised retailers and ASUS brand stores, while the red Transformer Book T100 will be available exclusively at all Best Denki outlets.
Lightest 10-inch Ultraportable
Weighing at a weight of 550g for the tablet and a combined weight of 1.07kg with the mobile keyboard dock, the Transformer Book T100 is one of the lightest ultraportables in the market. It is an extremely compact ultraportable for users who wish to have the productivity features of a laptop with the easy portability of a tablet – and the flexibility to switch between the two in an instant.
In addition to hybrid storage of 32GB eMMC and 500GB HDD, the Transformer Book T100 comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 with full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, the Transformer Book T100 is suitably ideal in both school and work places.
Responsive Performance with Quad Core Processor
Featuring Intel® Atom™ Z3775 quad-core processor, the Transformer Book T100 is capable of fast and smooth multi-tasking performance with incredible energy efficiency of up to 11 hours on battery power and up to 14 days on standby mode. The lightweight keyboard dock features precision-engineered keys designed for comfortable extended use, plus a multi-touch touchpad with full Windows 8.1 gesture support.
Just 10.5mm thin in tablet mode, the Transformer Book T100’s 10.1-inch display has a crisp 1366 x 768 resolution and features IPS technology for wide 178-degree viewing angles with excellent daylight visibility. Capacitive multi-touch gives fine fingertip control in tablet mode, while exclusive ASUS ‘Reading Mode’ technology adjusts the display automatically to make the screen easier to read for long periods.
