The Transcend StoreJet 25MC is ready for the future with its USB Type-C cable that is used for data transfer. So, do make sure that your PC has this port before you make the purchase! The Transcend StoreJet 25MC external hard drive also comes with the TranscendElite Software. This software has a suite of services that enables effective data backup, encryption and synchronization.
The TranscendElite Backup system also allows for the creation of multiple data backup profiles. Users can simply select the folder or drive for backup, set the backup frequency (e.g. daily, monthly, etc.) and then let the software do the rest of the work. If there is a need to restore the data back to the drive, the TranscendElite software can also do so with the Restore function. To start a manual process of data backup, users can click on the "Backup Now" button on the software, or simply press the One Touch Auto-Backup button on the hard drive itself!
TranscendElite software also ensures data privacy with its data encryption and decryption feature. Users can simply key in a password for their files that they would like to put onto the drive, and their files would be well protected. The software also allows for the synchronization of data to the backup or the cloud (with services like Dropbox and Google Drive).

Of course, we do not expect the performance of the SSD with the Transcend StoreJet 25MC. The StoreJet 25MC is tested to have the speeds of an average 5400RPM 2.5" drive.
