The new update of AMD ROCm 6.0 has expanded upon the list of supported GPUs in the Machine Learning department.
With exactly one model each for the consumer and prosumer space, the workstation folks will be able to see their Radeon PRO W7800 pop off in the application while the China-exclusive Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition for the uninformed) bolsters casual systems with a little bit of off-time AI model training.
The new 6.0 update also brought over support for ONNX Runtime that allows developers to perform inferencing across a larger range of data, essentially meaning more data format support in layman's terms. Speaking of formatting, INT8 via MIGraphX will be joining the classic duo FP32 and FP16.
