One of the products revealed by ROG at COMPUTEX 2024 may look familiar on the outside, but it's the inside that counts - introducing the new ROG Zephyrus G16 with the powerful combination of Team Red and Team Green components.
As the name suggests, the CPU is the 12-core, 24-thread AMD Ryzen 9 AI HX 370, the latest and most powerful processor from Team Red, featuring a native NPU for AI tasks. This is paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.
The XDNA 2 NPU delivers 50 TOPS of AI performance, and when combined with the CPU and iGPU's 31 TOPS, users can expect a robust Gen-AI experience. Alternatively, if the software is based on NVIDIA CUDA, it can run directly on the discrete GPU instead for native compatibility and most of the time, better and faster inferencing process.
The ROG Zephyrus G16 also features ROG's Intelligent Cooling solution, which includes liquid metal on the CPU, a fiber-and-mesh heatpipe system, and a tri-fan setup with second-generation Arc Flow fans.
The laptop retains its sleek and lightweight CNC-milled aluminum chassis with a customizable Slash Lighting array on the lid. It also boasts the award-winning ROG Nebula OLED display, offering 2.5K resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
In terms of memory, the Zephyrus G16 comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and a variety of I/O ports, including a new SD Express 7.0 slot for enhanced SD card performance. Additionally, the device supports the latest WiFi 7 standard, ensuring top-notch wireless connectivity.
