Zyxel Networks has introduced the GS1915v2 series, a nine-model family of Gigabit smart managed switches aimed at small offices, shops, cafés, clinics and other sites that may not have a dedicated network room.
The range covers compact desktop units, rack-mount switches and a DIN-rail model, with Power over Ethernet (PoE) and non-PoE variants. Zyxel is positioning the series around easier installation in constrained spaces, while retaining both local administration and remote management through its Nebula cloud platform.
Nine models cover 8 to 24 access ports
The GS1915v2 line comprises models with 8, 16 or 24 copper access ports. Most add two Gigabit SFP uplinks, which is why Zyxel also describes the portfolio by total port counts of 10, 18 and 26 ports. The nine configurations are:
- GS1915-8PDv2
- GS1915-10v2 and GS1915-10HPv2
- GS1915-18v2 and GS1915-18EPv2
- GS1915-26v2, GS1915-26EPv2 and GS1915-26HPv2
- GS1915D-10HPv2, a DIN-rail model
That spread lets installers choose between desktop, wall, rack and DIN-rail mounting according to the model and site. Fanless versions are intended for noise-sensitive spaces, while the higher-port-count PoE models use smart fans.

PoE budgets reach 180W
Six models support PoE, with total power budgets ranging from 60W to 180W and up to 30W PoE+ per port. They are designed to carry data and power over one Ethernet cable to devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones and door-access systems.
The GS1915-8PDv2 is the unusual member of the family: it can draw power from an upstream PoE switch, allowing it to be installed where a mains socket is unavailable. Zyxel also lists continuous PoE, which keeps connected powered devices running while the switch itself reboots, as well as time-based PoE scheduling.
Gigabit SFP fibre uplinks are available across the relevant models for longer-distance connections between network segments. These are Gigabit switches rather than multi-gigabit models, so buyers planning for access points or workstations above 1Gbps will need to account for that limit.
Nebula cloud or standalone management
Administrators can run the switches locally or add them to Zyxel's Nebula cloud platform. Zyxel says Nebula's free tier covers essential remote configuration, monitoring and centralised management, with paid capabilities available as deployments grow.
The series includes Layer 2 management functions and adds enhanced access-control list and Dynamic VLAN capabilities compared with the previous generation, according to Zyxel. A redesigned front panel uses simplified icons and a cleaner LED layout, while a dedicated control can turn the front-panel lights off in low-light environments.
Pricing and availability
Zyxel announced the GS1915v2 series on 13 October 2026. The company did not include Singapore pricing or a model-by-model regional availability schedule in its announcement.
