Evernote for Android Update: Customizable Homescreen, PDF Annotation and More

Evernote has made the user experience for Android even better, with improved work flow, PDF support, and page camera improvements.

The new version has also incorporated a number of powerful annotation features from the popular Skitch app directly into Evernote, like adding shapes and texts to PDFs attached to notes.

Evernote for Android is able to generate a PDF Summary, which shows a visual summary of the annotations in the documents, allowing for quick review of marked out sections of long reports, or important notations, all at a glance. When you share the note with team members, they will also be able to go directly to what’s important, quickly.

Better Notebook Picker:. With this update, Evernote made switching between frequently-used notebooks easier by placing most recent notebooks at the top of the list.

Evernote Page Camera is now faster and more accurate. It allows you to take a photo of handwritten notes, and cleanly digitizes it to make text clearer and searchable, making sure all your physical notes are filed away and easy to find.

Finally, Premium users will be able to choose the most important elements to leave on their customized home screen.
