Outstanding imaging and installation flexibility with
Canon’s latest short throw LCOS projector
The new Canon XEED WUX450ST projector boasts stunning image quality, adaptability, and control for myriad of installation scenarios.
SINGAPORE, 21 June 2016 – Canon today announced the launch of its newest short throw projector, the XEED WUX450ST LCOS (Compact Install Model). With a WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200, 4,500 lumens of brightness, and Canon’s LCOS technology with Aspectual Illumination System (AISYS) enhancement, users can project bright, highly detailed images in true colour. With its 1.35x optical zoom, short throw ratio of 0.56:1, and 0 to +75 percent vertical lens shift (manual), the XEED WUX450ST provides outstanding installation flexibility in various settings. This combination of features makes the XEED WUX450ST ideal for a wide range of markets including higher education, museums and galleries, corporate institutions, and for applications such as simulation, training, or digital signage.
"Canon remains dedicated to creating professional-standard products that consistently delivers outstanding performance," said Edwin Teoh, Head of Marketing, Singapore Operations, Canon Singapore. "The latest XEED WUX450ST projector epitomises this from its technology right down to its design. With features such as its AISYS enhancement and vertical lens shift capability, this projector is suitable for a wide range of usage scenarios."
Optimal image quality with customised adjustments
With its WUXGA high resolution and combination of advanced optical and image processing technologies, the XEED WUX450ST is capable of delivering optimum image quality. Equipped with genuine Canon lenses which utilises a combination of dual-sided aspherical and ultra-low dispersion (UD) lens elements, and a wide aperture of F2.7, users can easily project sharp and clear images even on curved surfaces.
Powered by Canon’s LCOS technology with AISYS-enhancement, the XEED WUX450ST projects virtually seamless images with low latency playback for improved video content display. The AISYS Optical Engine ensures delivery of the ideal brightness (up to 4,500 lumens) and native contrast ratio (up to 2000:1). Coupled with its advanced colour management capability, the XEED WUX450ST can deliver highly accurate colour reproduction in every projection.
Advanced optional image adjustments such as dynamic gamma, memory colour correction, and 6-Axis colour adjust are also available on the XEED WUX450ST, providing users ultimate control in achieving their desired output. Dynamic Gamma analyses individual areas of an image for specific, independent contrast adjustments so that light and dark areas do not appear over or under exposed. Memory colour correction enhances skin tones and other colour features for rich, vivid results. 6-Axis colour adjust allows fine-tuning of the hue and saturation of each primary and secondary colour, which makes it ideal for users with exacting imaging requirements.
Ease of installation
In addition to the XEED WUX450ST’s compact size, the projector is equipped with a variety of advanced optional settings that further maximises installation versatility. With 4-Point Keystone Correction, users can independently adjust the corners of the image for optimal image reproduction.
With the XEED WUX450ST’s Built-in Edge blending feature, projection of one seamless, large image from multiple projectors without using specialised software is also now possible. Its 360-degree vertical installation capability allows the projector to be positioned anywhere on the vertical axis. Fan speed can also be adjusted for optimal results.
Versatile connectivity and network management
The XEED WUX450ST projector offers multiple industry-standard interfaces including HDMI®, DVI-I, USB Type A, RS-232C, and HDBaseT network ports which supports gigabit data transfer speeds. In addition, it also supports Wi-Fi connectivity, which can be used to enhance the WUX450ST projector’s Network Multi Projection (NMPJ) functionality which allows projectors to receive display information from computers through a network.
In addition, the XEED WUX450ST is a Crestron Connected device, compatible with AMX Device Discovery, and also supports PJLink™, which makes it possible to control and monitor usage over the network – a feature excellent for observing lamp hours, usage and more.
