Service King Collision Repair Centers Joins the Growing List of Silver Peak SD-WAN Customers

Automotive collision repair leader to leverage broadband in more than 300 sites while saving millions with Silver Peak’s SD-WAN Solution, Unity EdgeConnect

Singapore, 22 July 2016 Silver Peak, the leader in building software-defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WANs), today announced Service King Collision Repair Centers headquartered in Richardson, Texas, one of the largest operators of high-quality collision repair services in the U.S., is the latest enterprise to purchase and deploy the Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN solution. Leveraging the Silver Peak solution, Service King will deploy broadband at each of its more than 300 collision repair locations, saving significantly on annual managed router services costs.

Through its ongoing strategic national growth initiative, Service King aims to implement a secure, scalable and ultimately cost-effective network design across its footprint. In an effort to do so, the team evaluated SD-WAN solutions to enhance the network.

With Silver Peak’s EdgeConnect, Service King is able to increase network performance by rapidly deploying broadband at both existing and new locations, immediately migrating all locations to the company’s WAN. By leveraging Silver Peak, Service King aims to eventually convert to broadband-only WAN.

As Service King evaluated ways to build a better WAN, it quickly determined SD-WAN was the right solution as the industry-leading organization preferred to bring broadband into the mix. During its evaluation, the company determined that the Silver Peak solution not only delivered phenomenal performance, its high-end encryption and WAN hardening security features also met its underlying regulatory requirements.

Service King was introduced to Silver Peak through its relationship with Dell as a complement to its existing Dell networking switches being deployed at the branch. In addition to all of the SD-WAN features Silver Peak brings to Service King, an added value is that EdgeConnect also serves as the edge router. For the hybrid sites with existing branch routers, EdgeConnect is the router for Internet access.
