From 19th October 2012 onwards, consumers will be able to get a free upgrade to Office 2013 if they buy a Office 2010 from authorized Microsoft Office retailer. As for businesses, Microsoft has provided various ways for them to jump on Office 2013 bandwagon earlier.
With the actual launch of Office 2013, Microsoft will roll out new service packs to Office 365, providing enterprise users with the new features in Office 2013. In the mid of November, subscribers of Microsoft Software Assurance for Volume Licensing will be able to start downloading the Office 2013 and other Office products from the download center. At the same time, MSDN and TechNet subscribers will be able to have the access to the downloads too.
