According to rumours from the technology industry, HP and Leap Motion has reached an agreement and HP computer products will soon be shipped together with Leap Motion sensors, opening users to newer ways of interacting with their computers. No other news on the specific products from HP that will come with the new Leap Motion sensors has been disclosed yet.
Leap Motion CEO Andy Miller has subsequently confirmed that Leap Motion has been awarded HP's physical and online distribution channels. In the future, when users are browsing for HP products, they will probably also find a Leap Motion Sensor near it for sale. As for developers, the collaboration between the two companies should bring much joy as the it has opened the motion sensoring device to a huge, new and important market.
Although both Leap Motion and HP did not disclose specific terms of their cooperation, but Miller said that the collaboration can be in any form, be it embedded technology within HP products or it can be sold separately. However, one of the terms for HP is to preinstall Airspace (Leap Motion's APpStore) on HP's devices. Moreover, Leap Motion technology will be open for developers to develop it.
