41 Megapixel Nokia EOS with PureView Technology, HTC One's Ultra Pixel Technology, what else? It seems that Sony is also going to take on these camera centered smartphones. Sony Xperia i1, codenamed "Honami" is expected to be announced on 11th July. This new offering from Sony will have a whopping 20 megapixel camera.
According to Brazillian tech site Techtude, Honami i1 has a 20-megapixel camera. However, it only has a LED flashlight installed, keeping it below from par of Samsung Galaxy S IV and Nokia Lumia EOS. Apart from the camera, Honami i1 has a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, bringing Sony Xperia i1 to the high end phone segment.
The new smartphone is sepculated to have a 5.4inch screen. In line with the other Xperia models, it will also have a sleek and thin design. Moreover, its microSD and microSIM slots are found on the side of the phone, similar to those on the iPhone. This means that the phone will not have a removable back cover and battery. Both front and rear of Sony i1 are covered in glass.
