BenQ
announced the world’s first DLP 4K UHD LED Home Cinema Projector, the X12000
for the Singapore market. The X12000 aims to provide the best possible
experience to viewers by having various high end and unique technologies built
right into the projector unit.
The
BenQ X12000 is able to balance a wide-gamut high-brightness output with the use
of Philips ColorSpark HLD LEDs with an exclusive CinematicColor Technology to
produce cinema-like experience. This technology can accurately produce the
DCI-P3 color space, which is a significantly larger portion of the whole
visible colour spectrum. It is far superior than the Rec.709 or sRGB standards
used in most projectors and displays today. In fact, the DCI-P3 color standard
is derived from the same technology that is used at all IMAX auditoriums
worldwide.
The
X12000 also Single-DMD DLP technology to remove artifacts that are caused by
panel misalignment. This is extremely important for 4K pixels as they are much
denser than 1080p resolutions. The projector is able to replicate the whole
digital cinema experience with 14 high-resolution elements, a true zoom system
and special low-dispersion lens coating.
