A leaked image of the launch day's presentation slides shows that the new Mi8 will come with a 6.01" display. Building on the success of the Mi MIX devices, we can expect the Mi8 to also adopt the near bezel-less design on this flagship. Moreover, the Mi8 will also feature an on-screen fingerprint sensor. The phone is also said to be installed with a new 3D facial recognition technology for secured face unlocking. It is said that the Mi8 will NOT have the notch design, which is adopted by many manufacturers.

In terms of hardware, the Mi8 will based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for 2799RMB (S$588). A 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage version will also be available at 3199RMB(S$672).
