The hackathon invites participants to build games, animations, AI agents and other digital experiences with Tencent Cloud tools including CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy and Miora.

Tencent Cloud said this year's programme spans Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau, and Southeast Asia, attracting more than 10,000 creators and generating over 1,000 project submissions. The projects cover areas ranging from support for people with high-functioning autism and ageing populations to AI-powered games and immersive content.

At the Hong Kong and Macau Demo Day, finalists presented their concepts, technical approaches and completed work to a judging panel. Tencent Cloud positioned the programme around three themes: Social Good, Cultural Expression and Narrative Innovation.

Projects in the social-good category focused on accessibility and inclusion, while cultural-expression entries used Chinese cultural references in digital formats. Narrative-focused projects explored how AI could shape interactive experiences and storytelling.

The three winning teams will represent Hong Kong and Macau at the Tencent Cloud Hackathon Global Finals.
