Nothing has introduced Headphone (1) Pro and named BTS member and solo artist V as its new global brand ambassador. The headphones bring a three-driver design, expanded sound controls and adaptive noise cancellation to the brand's audio lineup. Nothing says Singapore availability will be announced later; it has not provided a local price or launch date.
Three drivers and studio-oriented controls
Headphone (1) Pro uses a 40mm dynamic driver for bass, a second precision dynamic driver for vocals and instruments, and an xMEMS driver for treble. Nothing lists a frequency response of 20Hz to 40kHz. Those specifications describe the hardware, but listening quality will need to be assessed with a finished unit.
Nothing worked with Metropolis Studios on the tuning. A dedicated Flat EQ switch offers a neutral profile aimed at creators, while the Studio B spatial audio mode is designed to evoke the acoustics of a mixing room. The headphones also offer five custom EQ profiles, and the Nothing X app lets users adjust individual tuning points or make simpler bass and vocal changes.
The company lists five Dynamic Spatial Audio modes with head tracking. It also claims lossless playback at up to 24-bit/192kHz over USB-C and Hi-Res wireless support, though the releases do not specify the wireless codec.
Noise cancellation, design and battery life
Nothing says its real-time adaptive active noise cancellation can reduce noise by up to 46dB. It uses a 10-microphone system and redesigned ear cushions with an 8mm silicone baffle intended to improve the seal. Actual isolation will depend on fit and surroundings.
The transparent ear cups reveal elements of the driver arrangement behind scratch-resistant Panda glass. Nothing pairs aluminum with titanium in the frame and says the headphones weigh 327g. They carry an IP52 rating and are offered in black and white.
Battery life is rated at up to 68 hours with ANC switched off. Nothing mentions fast charging, but the releases do not give a charge time or a battery estimate with ANC on.
V fronts the launch campaign
V stars in a campaign for Headphone (1) Pro shot in Seoul by Dorothea Sing Zhang. His appointment as global brand ambassador follows Nothing's earlier partnership with Charli xcx. The campaign links the headphones' adjustable sound features with V's creative work, though the product announcement and ambassador appointment are separate parts of the launch.
Nothing has confirmed that Headphone (1) Pro will come to Singapore at a later date. Local pricing and an exact release date remain unannounced. TTR has not tested the headphones, so the audio, comfort, ANC and battery claims above reflect Nothing's announcements.
