Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S26 FE in Singapore, extending its flagship smartphone family with a lower-priced model that retains a telephoto camera, a 120Hz AMOLED display and the company’s latest One UI software.
The phone will be sold at Samsung Experience Stores and selected consumer-electronics and IT retailers from 28 August 2026. Sales through the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App and local telecommunications operators will begin on 4 September.
Exynos 2500, a 120Hz AMOLED display and seven years of updates
The Galaxy S26 FE uses Samsung’s 3nm Exynos 2500 processor with 8GB of RAM and a choice of 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. It ships with Android 17 and One UI 9, making it the first member of the Galaxy S26 range to launch with that software version.
Samsung says the device will receive seven generations of operating-system upgrades and seven years of security updates. That commitment is particularly relevant for buyers considering the phone as a long-term purchase, although the useful lifespan will also depend on battery health and repair support.
At the front is a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate and a quoted peak brightness of 1,900 nits. The handset measures 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mm, weighs 193g and carries an IP68 water- and dust-resistance rating.
A triple-camera system with 3x optical zoom
The rear camera system combines a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. A 12MP camera handles selfies and video calls.
New software additions include My FanCam, which can track a selected person and reframe video to keep them centred, and Super Steady with Horizontal Lock for more level footage. Photo Assist supports natural-language image edits, while Gemini Omni can assemble photos and clips from the Gallery into videos. Samsung notes that results are not guaranteed and that several AI features require an account, an internet connection or both.
4,900mAh battery and 45W wired charging
A 4,900mAh typical-capacity battery powers the phone. The Galaxy S26 FE supports 45W wired charging, with Samsung claiming a charge of up to 69 per cent in around 30 minutes when a compatible 45W adapter is used. The power adapter is sold separately.
The phone also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for compatible phones and wearables. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 5.4.
Galaxy AI and One UI 9
One UI 9 introduces a more customisable Now Brief, allowing users to create briefing cards with prompts for information such as weather and wellness insights. Samsung is also expanding context-aware suggestions and multi-step assistance through Galaxy AI and Gemini, while Circle to Search can identify multiple items within a single image.
The Galaxy S26 FE includes a six-month trial of Google AI Pro for eligible users. Availability and subscription terms vary, and charges may apply after the trial unless it is cancelled.

Samsung is advertising promotional savings of up to S$350 for qualifying purchases made between 28 August and 9 October at Samsung Experience Stores, or between 4 September and 9 October through the Samsung Online Store and Samsung Shop App. Online and app purchases can also receive five times the redemption value of Samsung Rewards Points, capped at S$50 per transaction.
