Dell Technologies has launched the Dell Pro Essential 14 and Dell Pro Essential 15 in Singapore, expanding its entry-level commercial notebook range for small businesses and growing teams.
The two laptops are available with Intel Core Series 3 or AMD Ryzen 200 Series processors, up to 64GB of memory and as much as 1TB of SSD storage. Dell is offering them in Celestial Blue and Platinum Silver.
Dell says the new generation is 11% thinner and between 9% and 16% lighter than its predecessor, based on the company’s internal analysis from August 2026. Exact dimensions and weights will depend on the model and configuration, so buyers should check the selected specification before ordering.
16:10 displays and updated input controls
Display options include FHD+ panels rated at 400 nits and 2.5K panels rated at 500 nits. Both use a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing more vertical workspace than a conventional 16:9 screen for documents, webpages and productivity applications.
The redesigned keyboard adds dedicated controls for muting the microphone, starting dictation and taking screenshots. The microphone-mute key includes an LED indicator, while the touchpad is 6% larger than on the previous generation, according to Dell.
Camera options comprise HD and FHD IR units, accompanied by dual microphones. An FHD IR camera can also support biometric sign-in on suitably configured systems.
Ports differ between Intel and AMD configurations
The advertised port selection includes two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack. Intel-based models additionally include an RJ-45 Ethernet port. Buyers who require wired networking should therefore verify the processor platform and exact port configuration before purchase.
The announcement does not provide detailed battery capacities, processor model numbers, wireless specifications or local starting prices. It also does not establish whether every display, camera, memory and storage option is available across both screen sizes and processor platforms.
TPM, biometrics and a mechanical camera shutter
Security features include a Trusted Platform Module, a mechanical camera shutter and a security-lock slot. Depending on configuration, biometric authentication is available through a fingerprint reader or FHD IR camera.
Dell says the laptops have been tested to MIL-STD-810H standards. Such testing refers to specified laboratory procedures and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a device is rugged or immune to damage in everyday use.
The company also lists EPEAT Gold Climate+ and ENERGY STAR certifications, although certification status can vary by country and configuration. Packaging is described as containing up to 95.1% recycled material and 4.9% renewable content from sustainably forested sources, excluding optional items added to an order.
Availability in Singapore
The Dell Pro Essential 14 and Dell Pro Essential 15 are available now through Dell Singapore. Configuration choices, pricing and delivery estimates may change.
TTR has not tested these laptops. Performance, battery life, display quality and portability claims will require assessment using shipping configurations.
